If we want buildings which have a better chance of withstanding disaster, then we have to stop using traditional building methods. No wonder our insurance rates keep going up!

Have a look at what just happened in the US. Maybe not a fire, earthqauke or Tsunami, but nature can dish it out. There are applications where we need buildings that can withstand disasters

I like the building too. The rooms were a decent size, the layout was highly practical, and the windows highlighted the natural beauty surrounding the building.

I like the look of the building. It’s built for a purpose and is obviously very tough and blends in with the rocks and bush-land setting. It would not suit those who like prissy little flower pot buildings. As for the project overall , it’s terrific to see that this important research work is being done right here in the Granite Belt. Congratulations to all involved in the project.

This building could be practically used for community centres, fire stations, small country hospitals and/or country schools that would not only save lives but also be a meeting place for emergency services to co-ordinate personnel where it is most needed.

I was thrilled to be invited to the launch, and was impressed by the building and the smarts which Cox Group have developed. I was also impressed by the Hon Lawrence Springborg. I know it’s his job… but he spoke well, was generous with the amount of time he devoted to the launch itself, and took the time to speak individually to all attendees afterwards.
